Seattle Library Tour
Opened in 2004, the new Seattle Central Public Library designed by Rem Koolhaas & Joshua Remus with local consulting architects LMN Architects is a dramatic glass and steel structure designed to be open and translucent, allowing passers-by on the street to look in and see activity on every floor. Exciting new concepts about the function of libraries in our culture are showcased in the design which in many ways redefines the traditional library experience.
